BFF Gift Guide: Pop Song Edition 2023

Happy Holidays! It’s most definitely our favorite time of the year. Though here at Scout & Molly’s we believe that every day is a perfect day to spoil our BFFs. 1. Taylor Swift and Ice Spice: Karma (2023) It wouldn’t be a proper Scout & Molly’s Boutique post without at least one mention of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. We’re the first to admit that we’ve had the “Karma” song on repeat, and not just because of the cat cameo. Directed by Taylor, it also features Ice Spice and an array of Swift’s “Easter eggs” (hidden messages) in the video: Hearts, cats, hourglasses, clam shells, and fifty shades of blue. So as “Swifties” at heart, we’ve gathered our favorite Taylor-related gifts. Perfect for celebrating friendships, we’ve got heart-shaped necklaces, infinity bracelets, chunky chain collars, and pearl earrings, along with a collection of delicate lace and mesh tops, all flaunting a glitzy Hollywood appeal, perfect for any Era AND that classic red lipstick you like. 2. Dua Lipa: Dance The Night, Barbie Movie (2023) Got that special friend who has been part of the “Dua Stans” fan base since her poolside breakout, breakup “New Rules” anthem? We hear you. However, it was Dua Lipa’s recent disco anthem for Greta Gerwig’s summertime “Barbie” movie that caused our hearts to race. 3. Harry Styles: As It Was (2022) As one YouTube reviewer wrote: “This song has only one problem: it finishes.” We wholeheartedly agree. Actually, we feel this way about Harry’s entire body of music. Directed by Tanu Muino in 2022, we adore not only London Zoo’s modernist Penguin Pool that served as the set for this video, but also Harry’s red sequined one-piece stunner and butterfly tattoo dedicated to his grandmother. Perhaps one of the “Harries” in your life would adore a golden tennis necklace or a pair of butterfly-shaped studs or a blue-winged beaded bag? We’ve also got a special collection of sparkly jumpsuits along with faux fur coats in black, watermelon, and a snake print, all perfect showstoppers for a holiday gala or a cozy wine and cheese party with friends. Sometimes there’s only one direction: Keeping your peeps happy and warm.

4. Ariana Grande: 7 Rings (2019) Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, there’s so much to love about this video. Featuring Ariana, it checks all boxes for us: the message of forgiveness and self-love and the celebration of friendship. In fact, five of Ari’s friends are featured in the video. Plus, the vibrant O.O.T.D. showstoppers are not only fun, but would make fab gifts.
